The New National Basic Safety Technical Specification For Textile Products Has Been Formally Implemented Since August.

Starting from August 1st, the new version of the national basic safety technical specification for textile products will be formally implemented.

"Will replace the current 2003 edition of the national standard, and become a new mandatory national standard for textiles.

It is reported that compared with the old national standard, the new edition of the code expands the age range of infant textile coverage, that is, the definition of infant clothing is changed from "textile products worn or used by infants aged 24 months or less" to "textile products worn or used by infants aged 36 months or less."

In addition, the specifications stipulated in the specification include formaldehyde content, pH value, odor and so on. According to these indicators, clothing is divided into three grades: A, B and C.

From next month, children's clothing under the age of three should be implemented in class a standard. Meanwhile, the production enterprise must indicate the word "baby products" on the instructions.

Textile products that do not conform to the specifications shall be prohibited from production, sale and importation.

Recently, the national standard (GB/T28462-2012) of the "woven pile synthetic leather base cloth", which was drafted by the Fujian Bureau of inspection and quarantine, was approved by the AQSIQ and the National Standards Committee. It will be implemented in December 1, 2012.

Woven and napped synthetic leather cloth is one of the main raw materials for synthetic leather production. It is also an important industrial textile.

According to the introduction, the standard is classified according to the thickness and the tannery processing technology. The thickness, the capillary effect, the breaking strength, the tear strength, the water fastness, the sweat fastness, the dry rubbing fastness and the decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dye are specified in detail.

The implementation of the standards is conducive to guiding tanning production and promoting the quality level of woven and napped synthetic leather fabric.
